Ten years after a successful steam locomotive rally in Selzthal an improved repeat performance was held from 7th to 9th June 2003. 14 engines in steam were the stars, supported by a large cast of Veteran Electric locomotives. The backdrop - the beautiful Styrian Mountains. A cast of guest performances by Austrian and foreign trains completed this splendid event.

Our Bahnorama Steam Engine Rally Selzthal Part 1 records the preparations and the events of the first day of this unique meet at this once important international railway junction in Austria. Our bird`s eye perspective from the Bahnorama Helicopter, gives a third dimension to all the happenings and make the viewer independent of a mere terrestrial point of view.
